This is the registration page for all coaches. Background checks will be performed by this process, It is a new procedure this year so please note the following. Once you click on Registration for Coaches it will take you to renew your US Lacrosse number, once you click "Go Back to PGLC" to finish it will now prompt you to do the background check...you will follow the instructions from there. BEFORE YOU DO THIS BE PREPARED TO HAVE A JPEG or PDF of your drivers license to download to them because they will ask for it.. Please read the PLEASE NOTE BELOW as YOU must check your won background status. You must have a valid US Lacrosse Membership through 8/1/2020 in order to register.

IMPORTANT - STATUS INFORMATION!!!
The background screening process generally takes 10 business days to complete. During that time, it is common for NCSI to have questions or need information from you in the course of the background screening process. You will be contacted via e-mail at the address you provided. Additionally, please log in to our secure online 'Applicant Status Check' tool by going to www.ncsisafe.com and clicking on 'Check Your Background Screening Status' on the bottom of the screen regularly to check the status of your background screening. You should check this until your status indicates COMPLETED, which means NCSI has issued a determination to your organization. Failure to respond to our requests for additional information may result in a RED LIGHT determination.
2. PCA
One-time requirement
Coaches may take the PCA online course or in-person workshop, “Double Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons.” We have 20 free vouchers available for coaches to access the course. Choose Option 1 when signing up and then use voucher code: NorCalLax130 Once that code no longer works, please notify execdirector@ncjla.org. After that it will cost $30 to take the online course.
3. US Lacrosse Level 1 Online Course
One-time requirement
All coaches must complete a free US Lacrosse Level 1 online course, unless the coach has coached at the CIF (or equivalent from another state), collegiate, or post-collegiate level.
4. US Lacrosse Membership
Renew annually, and valid through the end of the season
Go to http://www.uslacrosse.org to establish or renew membership.
**Passed Age Level Rules Test
Must retake test yearly
Coaches must take and pass a US Lacrosse rules test for the age and gender they coach. Send the certificate of completion to your club administrator for their records. If you were not a coach last year you must take this test, if you were a coach you need to send me your certificate from last year (bfensler75@gmail.com), click on link to see how you get a copy if you can not find your certificate.
Concussion Certification (Annual Requirement)
Renew annually, and valid through the end of the season
Each coach and club administrator (who would be an authority on a playing field) shall be required to successfully complete the online concussion and head injury education offered by the Center of Disease Control before supervising an athlete in an activity sponsored by the NCJLA. The online course can be found HERE. Individual clubs must document the certificate of completion (including issue and expiration dates) for their personnel. The completion dates should be included on the coaches' certification rosters that are submitted to the NCJLA webmaster.
*CIF coaches may submit their NFHS concussion training certificate in lieu of the HeadsUp CDC training.
For all certification requirements:
Send the certificate of completion to your club administrator for their records. The NCJLA may require proof of completion of the above requirements at any time.

Helpful hints before taking test:
a) You will need your US Lacrosse Member ID to sign-on for the test.
a) Please listen carefully to the directions for completing the test. The audio portion is very helpful.
b) The test has multiple modules which are called "Rule 1", "Rule 2", and so on. Each module has 1 or more multiple choice questions. You must pass each module to earn your certificate.
c) The "Back to Menu" button will allow you to access the modules you have not yet completed.
d) Read each question carefully.
e) Read all choices before selecting your answer.
